Mahesh Chaminda, the husband of teledrama actress Upeksha Swarnamali (Paba) surrendered to Nugegoda SP Deshabandu Tennekoon yesterday. Paba was assaulted warded at the Sri Jayawardenepura Hospital. While being questioned, Chaminda had said that he was confused at the time of the incident, the police said. He was due to be produced before a Magistrate yesterday.
